Vietnamese company sues TikTok for copyright infringement

VNG, a Vietnamese technology company is suing TikTok to stop using songs in short videos on its platform without licence. VNG and its subsidiary as right owners claim that TikTok does not have a licence to music and seek indemnification for damages amounting to US$ 9.5 million. As reported by Reuters,  the Vietnam Music Association said that ‘TikTok has introduced a very complicated business model to avoid copyright compliance in Vietnam’.
