UN task team calls for COVID-19 technology solutions
In line with the UN secretary general’s initiative to help member states address the COVID-19 crisis, the UN Inter-agency Task Team on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launched a call for proposals on technology solutions for addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and its immediate impacts. Solutions from diverse sources and communities that can provide proven, affordable, and scalable technology solutions to accelerate progress towards providing basic health functions, especially for vulnerable people, are encouraged to provide input before 20 May 2020. Upon review and acceptance, promising solutions will be featured on the UN website and used in UN materials in support of policymakers, private sector leaders, civil society, and key representatives of the global scientific and technological communities.
