UK, Vietnam enhance cooperation in digital economy, transformation

The UK parliamentary undersecretary of state at the department for digital, culture, media, and sport Chris Philp and the Vietnamese minister of information and communications Nguyen Manh Hung signed a letter of intent to promote cooperation in the digital economy and digital transformation between the two countries. Within this cooperation, Vietnam will start implementing Vietnam-UK digital forums and investment promotion programmes and seminars to help businesses expand the market and cooperate in projects on digital economy and digital transformation. Both ministries also entertained ideas on the possibilities to extend cooperation between management agencies on digital transformation, digital economy, and digital business connection. They further discussed measures to jointly coordinate the implementation of initiatives within the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-UK Digital Innovation Partnership and the Asia-Pacific Digital Trade Network.
