Pew Research Center releases new data on Internet freedom perceptions

Pew Research Center has published new data about the perceptions on Internet freedom in 38 countries. 32 out of the 38 countries indicate that it is important to ‘allow people to use the internet without government censorship.’ Among the surveyed countries, support for internet freedom is highest in Argentina, the US, Germany, Spain and Chile, and lowest in Burkina Faso, Indonesia, Pakistan, Uganda and Tanzania. The research center also found a correlation between the support for Internet freedom and the number of Internet users in a country.
