Kathleen Heugh will give a public lecture ‘100 Years of Research on Multilingualism and Education in Africa: Implications for South African Universities’ in Grahamstown, South Africa on 17 September, based on a paper exploring ‘various studies into the role of home language /mother tongue, bilingual and multilingual education in relation to student achievement’.
