EU introduces new sanctions on Russia over the conflict in Ukraine
In addition to the sanctions introduced on 25 February, a new set of measures was approved by the Council of the EU on 28 February. They adopt restrictions related to aviation and finance, introducing a prohibition to make transactions with the Russian Central Bank. The council also introduced economic sanctions against 26 persons and 1 entity which include freezing of assets.
