Celebrity chef Pete Evans Instagram account banned for COVID-19 misinformation
Celebrity chef Pete Evans has been permanently suspended from Instagram for repeatedly sharing misinformation about COVID-19 and vaccines. His account had hundreds of thousands of followers. He was first suspended from Facebook in December 2020, after which he continued to share misleading information through his Instagram account. Facebook and Instagram have updated their misinformation policies and include a prohibition of false claims about COVID-19.
