ByteDance challenges executive order of divestiture in TikTok in court
ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, filed a petition against the Executive Order from 14 August 2020 requiring divestiture from TikTok by 12 November 2020. ByteDance is asking the court to review the Executive Order, claiming that the Trump Administration’s statements that TikTok represented a threat to US national security were unlawful and violated the US Constitution.
