Belarus centralises health information system

Belarus’ Council of Ministers adopted the decree No. 267 that centralises health information systems in the country. The objective of centralisation is to improve the availability and quality of medical care. The centralised health information system (CSIS) will aim to do the following: developing e-health, transfering of electronic health records, creating a electronic archive of medical information of patients based on the patient’s electronic medical record, ensuring cross-department information sharing, and more. The timeline and process for connecting healthcare providers to the CSIS will be determined by the Ministry of Health.
