WFP and Egypt initiate ‘Bedaya Digital’ project

The World Food Programme (WEF) and Egypt’s ministry of emigration and Egyptian expatriates affairs have developed an e-learning platform titled ‘Bedaya Digital’ that aims to warn about the dangers of illegal migration. The purpose of the platform is to develop the competencies and train Egypt’s youth and migrant workers who have lost their jobs during Covid-19. The platform also aims to tackle the risks associated with irregular migration through the promotion of job opportunities and provide access to services offered by the government, the WFP and the private sector.
