Water Europe awards the Water Europe Digital Water Award 2020 for a Nitrate app
Water Europe grants the Water Europe Digital Water Award of 2020 to Deltares for their Nitrate App. The app allows farmers to see how much nitrate is entering their surface waters and groundwater, and they can share the data. According to Water Europe, the app can help achieve the 1991 Nitrate Directive that aims to protect water quality by ensuring that nitrate from agricultural sources does not contaminate groundwater and surface water.
