USA and India sign agreement to start an initiative on critical and emerging technologies

One of the goals is to establish a joint Indo-US Quantum coordination mechanism with participation from industry, academia, and government to facilitate research and industry collaboration.

President Biden and Prime Minister Modi announced the US-India initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET) to elevate and expand both countries’ strategic technology partnership. The list of joint endeavours ranges from strengthening the innovation ecosystem to next-generation telecommunications. The objective is to create a collaborative Indo-US coordination mechanism involving industry, academia, and government, to promote joint research and collaboration across various domains such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and advanced wireless communication.
