US lawmakers launch inquiry into Pentagon’s ambition on national 5G network
Two Democratic lawmakers in the USA launched an inquiry into the Department of Defense (DoD)’s potential steps toward a national 5G network. Representatives Frank Pallone Jr. and Mike Doyle are seeking details about a request for information from the DoD to wireless carriers. The congressmen said that they are concerned that the DoD is working to own and operate nationalised 5G and lease federal spectrum for commercial purposes.
