UNESCO and Commonwealth launch guide on MOOCs
UNESCO and the Commonwealth of Learning have launched Making Sense of MOOCs: A Guide for Policy Makers in Developing Countries. The guide aims to share the ways in which Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) could address the concerns of policy makers, especially with regard to affordable quality higher education, vocational education and training. The guide places the role of online learning in the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and looks at the opportunities of MOOCs for developing countries in particular.
