UK publishes national strategy to protect children from sexual abuse

The UK Home Secretary has published its ‘Tackling Child Sexual Abuse Strategy’, a national strategy that outlines the government’s plan on using new legislation and enhanced technology to protect children from sexual abuse. The strategy proposes to invest in UK’s Child Abuse Image Database, upgrading it with new tools to speed up police investigations. This first-of-its-kind national strategy is expected to address all forms of child sexual abuse.
