UK, Canada, and Singapore united on working to support cybersecurity for internet connected products

UK, Canada, and Singapore are working together to promote and facilitate cybersecurity standards for internet connected products.

The governments of the UK, Canada, and Singapore agreed to promote cybersecurity measures for internet connected products. The three governments are working together to (a) support the development of international standards and industry guidance; (b) foster innovation; and (c) encourage approaches that incorporate internationally recognised security requirements that avoid fragmentation.

The countries share the view that international standards can facilitate strong security practices and are committed to encouraging the adoption of international standards to mitigate cyber risks. They also endorse the emerging baseline security requirements for connected products and encourage international recognition and alignment with them.
