Thailand’s ministry and the largest national mobile operator to jointly tackle e-waste

Advanced Info Service (AIS), Thailand’s largest mobile operator by subscribers, has partnered with the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry to build e-waste drop points at the ministry’s provincial offices across the country and raise public awareness of the proper disposal of e-waste. The cooperation is part of the ‘Thais say no to e-waste’ programme, which has led to the collection of 6.3 tonnes of e-waste. The collected waste has been sent to recycling factories and recycled in an environmentally friendly way.
