Telenor Pakistan and Facebook to train women with World Bank’s GLWE initiative

Telenor Pakistan held a digital skills bootcamp for women entrepreneurs where 100 women will be trained on Telenor Pakistan’s design thinking programme ACTIVATE and Facebook’s programme on digital skills #SheMeansBusiness. This comes under the two companies’ commitment to the World Bank’s Girls Learn, Women Earn (GLWE) initiative which is a call to action platform to prioritise girls’ education and women’s economic empowerment in Pakistan. ‘When women do better, we all benefit. Pakistani women entrepreneurs are resourceful, and we want them to understand how going digital can help them start and expand their ventures. Through the #SheMeansBusiness programme and our partnership with Telenor, we aim to connect entrepreneurial women with empowering tools, peers, and networks,’ said Facebook Head of Community Affairs Beth Ann Lim.
