The telecom regulatory authority in Morocco is sued for blocking VoIP services

After the decision taken earlier this year to block VoIP services such as Skype, Viber, and Whatsapp, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency in Morocco might have to defend this decision in court. An unidentified plaintiff filed a suit against the agency in March, and a first court hearing in this case is scheduled for 21 April. The reason previously invoked by the agency for blocking VoIP services was that their providers did not have the telecommunication licenses necessary to operate in the country. Source
