Technology is working to bring Indian languages together and bridge language barriers

Since the independence of India communication amongst its citizens has been a problem, as there are more than a thousand language and dialects spoken in India. India is now using technology to build a bridge amongst these different language-based communities. The Ministry of Communication & Information Technology has initiated a project called “Technology Development for Indian Languages” aiming to use tools and technologies to enhance human interaction with technology and bridging language barriers. The ministry is creating access to multilingual resources for Indian citizens, thereby gaining more people’s interest in learning new tools and technologies.
