New report indicates the growing need of protecting data and privacy of children Online

A new report titled ‘Children’s data and privacy online Growing up in the Digital Age’ was released on Data Privacy Day. The study conducted by Children’s Data and Privacy Online and funded by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) of UK, highlights that children value their privacy, however the  privacy practices they follow are dependent to their social environment. The report also suggests there is a  need to design standards and regulatory frameworks for protecting children’s privacy across different age groups.
