NATO to set up a Cyber Operations Centre

Following the meeting of the North Atlantic Council in Defence Ministers’ session, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced that Alliance Members have decided to to set up a Cyber Operations Centre as part of the new Command Structure. The new Centre will strengthen NATO’s cyber defences and help integrate cyber into NATO planning and operations. The Ministers agreed to integrate Allies’ sovereign cyber capabilities into NATO operations and missions. The Secretary General underlined that all crises today have a cyber dimension and that the Alliance must be as effective in cyberspace as it is on land, at sea and in the air.
