M-Lab research warns on the digital divide in the United States
Research conducted by M-Lab, an open source project that examines Internet performance, revealed that the deepening digital divide in the United States could be fatal for those who depend on the Internet for healthcare, education and shopping. According to the study, 62% of counties across the United States did not have access to the minimum download speed for broadband Internet and according experienced difficulties in transitioning to the online working space or distance learning.
