Kenya to shift to e-visa by 2021
Kenya has announced plans to migrate to e-visa by January 2021. The country has been having concurrent systems where one can apply for a visa online, apply before or on arrival. A circular issued by the Immigration Department to airlines advises them to direct passengers from countries where nationals require visas to enter Kenya to make visa applications online. Kenya is among African countries implementing a digital transformation strategy that shifts more services online.
