Kenya reveals digital tracing system
The Ministry of Health in Kenya is scaling up its COVID-19 contact tracing system to integrate online and offline capability. This was revealed during a parliamentary inquiry, where the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Mutahi Kagwe, explained that the initial digital surveillance system was overwhelmed with increasing cases which were spread out in various parts of the country. The country had therefore upgraded its system to include laboratory orders, facilitate contract tracing , manage patients in quarantine and generate reports.
