ITU Development Study Group final reports address the latest challenges and opportunities for global ICT advancement

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) issued a series of reports aiming at aligning digital with sustainable development. The reports, which compile inputs from ITU Development Sector (ITU-D) members, address the recent challenges and opportunities vis-à-vis global information and communication technology (ICT) advancement, especially in developing countries. The publications provide insights and findings for different stakeholders at the developing countries on how to adapt guidelines into their national policy, connect to countries and partners for capacity building and in-country implementation actions, and move closer to achieving the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs), targets and their specific development priorities. The two study groups that contributed to these publications are Study Group 1: Enabling environment for the development of telecommunications/ICTs and Study Group 2: ICT services and applications for the promotion of sustainable development.
