IPv6 deployment: progress reported in the USA and UK
Deploying IPv6 across networks and services is a long term process, but progress continues to be reported throughout the world. Two recent examples come from the USA and UK. In the USA, IPv6 has become the dominant Internet protocol for the major mobile networks (Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile USA, Sprint Wireless, and AT&T Wireless). In the UK, BT, one of country’s largest ISP, plans to enable IPv6 on their networks from autumn 2017, expecting that all its customers will be able to use the new protocol in early 2017.
