IP EUROPE launch recommendations to prioritise IP protection

IP Europe published a set of policy recommendations that call EU policymakers to strengthen IP protection across Europe.  IP Europe’s recommendations to the EU include: EU trading partners to maintain a high level of IP protection consistent with their international commitments; making access to publicly funded research and development to third country companies conditional to European companies having equivalent access to that company’s domestic research and development funding programme; and ensuring that IP rights enforcement in all jurisdictions remains affordable to SMEs so they can challenge patent infringers who profit from their inventions without a licence.
