IJM Philippines releases paper on how ISPs can protect children online

The International Justice Mission Philippines has released a technical paper ““Philippine ISP Visibility: Technology, Limitations and Recommendations Related to Combating the Online Sexual Exploitation of Children.” that outlines measures that ISPs can take to combat live streaming of CSAM material  and protect children online. Some of the suggestions include: maintaining logs of subscribers for a reasonable and specific time; promote transition to IPv6 to ensure particular IP address are not recycled; and become members of organisations such as Internet Watch Foundation that regularly update shared URL lists linked to child sexual exploitation materials (CSEM) to be blocked.
