Huawei recycled over 4,500 tonnes of e-waste in 2020

In its annual report, Huawei says it is part of the company’s social responsibility to recycle as much e-waste as possible and reduce its products’ environmental impact. To this end, Huawei built a global recycling program for device products and recycled over 4,500 tons of e-waste in 2020 through its nearly 2,000 recycling stations in 48 countries and regions worldwide.

In the report, Huawei reiterated its commitment to contributing more to the circular economy, reducing its reliance on natural resources, and providing customers with more environmentally friendly products. Huawei, therefore, continues to improve its product designs, reduce the weight and size of product packaging, and use fibre-based packaging instead of plastic packaging to be easily disposed of.
