‘Happy Birthday’ song is now public domain – for the time being : Federal Judge in Los Angeles ruled that the copyright owned by Warner/Chappell is invalid and considers the song as in the public domain. The company can still make an appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
