Global cloud computing market forecasted to accelerate faster by 2017
A recent report from Forrester Research, cited by CIO.com, predicts that the cloud computing market will accelerate faster by 2017, as companies are increasingly looking at cloud as a viable place to run their core business applications. The global public cloud market is expected to reach $146 billion in 2017, with a 22% compound annual growth rate. Most of the growth will come from large cloud service providers such as Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and IBM, which are continuously opening new data centers, as they try to comply with data localisation requirements.
