Germany updates its AI strategy
The federal government of Germany has adopted an updated artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, committing 5 billion euro to investments in AI by 2025. Germany adopted a national AI strategy in 2018; the revised version outlines actions and initiatives that are undergoing or planned. It focuses on areas such as research, education, and regulatory frameworks, while exploring the potential of AI in environmental protection and fighting pandemics, among others.
