Facebook to limit posts that contain misinformation and hate speech related to the trial of Derek Chauvin

Facebook will limit posts with misinformation and hate speech related to the former Minneapolis police officer charged with the murder of George Floyd in the USA. In particular, Facebook vice-president for content policy Monika Bickert announced that (a) it will identify and remove posts that urged to bring guns to Minneapolis during the trial, (b) it would protect Floyd’s family from online harassment and (c) it would take down content that praised, celebrated or mocked his death. The death of Floyd led to massive Black Lives Matter protests across the country in 2020.
