EU tackles digital transformation in strategy with Africa
The European Commission and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy have released a proposal entitled ‘Towards a comprehensive Strategy with Africa’ for a new strategy, where among other things, they tackle digital transformation in the context of sustainable development. To that end, the document states that digital transformation could be one of the five partnerships in the EU’s strategy with Africa. Particular attention is paid to accessibility, digitalisation as a driver of economic growth, and digitalisation of public administration.
