Ericsson and the University of Waterloo launched a new quantum research hub in Canada

Ericsson has established a quantum research hub in Canada, in collaboration with the University of Waterloo and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. The research hub will focus on advancing quantum communication technology and developing quantum algorithms to improve network performance and security.

Ericsson plans to hire a team of researchers and engineers to work on the development of quantum communication technology, including quantum key distribution and quantum sensing, which could improve the security and efficiency of telecommunications networks.
