ENISA issues guide for securing IoT supply chain

The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) published guidelines for securing the Internet of things (IoT) supply chain. The guide explores the entire lifespan of devices: requirements, design, end user delivery, maintenance, and disposal. The study aims to help IoT manufacturers, developers, and all stakeholders involved in creating, deploying, or assessing IoT technologies. The report concludes by highlighting the following recommendations: (a) creating good relationships between actors, (b) cultivating cybersecurity expertise, (c) adopting security by design principles, (d) applying a comprehensive security approach, (e) leveraging existing standards and best practices.
