Digital learning ‘E9’ initiative launched to advance SDG 4

A group of nine countries including Brazil, China and India have launched a digital learning initiative called ‘E9’ intended to advance on sustainable development goals (SDGs), namely SDG 4 – Quality Education. The initiative will particularly target marginalised children, in particular, girls, and is expected to provide a recovery response to the rapidly evolving education systems. The three-phased programme will in first instance be based on consultations between involved parties Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and Pakistan that will exchange experience and lessons learned on some of the digital learning challenges.
