Children with disabilities use high-tech tools to learn

Using technology itself to learn about smart technology and sustainability, about 150 children with disabilities are taking part in a project launched by the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (Dewa) at the Dubai Rehabilitation Centre for the Disabled. The children will fix solar panels on the roofs of toy homes, work with robots, use smart pens to connect to the Internet, and observe 3Dprinting, as they raise their level of awareness of services available to them, and how to use them. The centre also works with teachers, teaching and learning new methodologies to improve both academic and practical life skills.
