Amazon owned platform Twitch to ban users for severe misconduct that occurs out of its website

Twitch, a live-stream platform popular among video gamers, announced it will start a new approach to moderate content by banning users for offenses such as hate-group memberships or mass violence that occur entirely outside of its web space. The platform classifies cases of severe misconduct: terrorists’ activities, child sexual exploitation, violent extremism, and sexual assault. Twitch affirmed users will be able to report on severe misconduct, but the company also counts on investigating cases proactively. In this sense, Twitch will rely on law enforcement services, in addition to partnering with a law firm to support its internal team.
