Abu Dhabi releases new strategy to fight cybercrime in healthcare

The Department of Health of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate (UAE), has unveiled the Abu Dhabi Healthcare Information Security Strategy to improve its information infrastructure, given the increase of cyberattacks against healthcare and health facilities across the globe. The new strategy is said to come into effect immediately and focuses on six areas: cybersecurity governance, cybersecurity resilience, cybersecurity capabilities, cybersecurity partnerships, cybersecurity maturity, and cybersecurity innovation. All healthcare facilities and professionals are required to adopt the new policy.
