A4AI publishes COVID-19 Internet access and affordability policy brief

The Alliance for Accountable Internet (A4AI) has in a policy brief made recommendations to various stakeholders on steps that can be taken to ensure that as many people as possible have access to the Internet during the COVID-19 pandemic. The brief highlighted shocking inequalities  COVID-19 helped expose when it came to Internet access and affordability across the globe.  It additionally called on governments, companies, public-private partnerships and the civil society to immediately take specific measures  in addressing Internet connectivity concerns.

A4AI based its recommendation on their Good Practices in Policy and Regulation, as well as the Contract for the Web — a global plan of action launched by the Web Foundation in 2019.
