[Update] Register for the June briefing, which will take place on Tuesday, 28th June, 11h UTC.

The recently-held WSIS Forum 2016 brought into focus the role of ICTs to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which dominated much of the digital policy discussions in May. Discussions on access and development-related issues were also visibly prominent this month. What other Internet governance updates took place in May? How will recent updates influence the developments in upcoming months? Join us for our next monthly briefing, on Tuesday, 31st May, for a round-up of the major global IG and digital policy developments.

You receive hundreds of pieces of information on digital politics.
We receive them, too.
We decode, contextualise, and analyse them.
Then we summarise them for you.

Every last Tuesday of the month, the Internet governance briefings provide a 'zoomed-out' update of the major global IG and digital policy developments. They are delivered live from Geneva (WMO Building, 2nd floor, 7 bis Avenue de la Paix), and broadcasted online.

Local hubs in Rio de Janeiro, Tunis and Jakarta will share their regional perspectives.

The Rio hub will be hosted by the Center for Technology and Society of the Getulio Vargas Foundation School of Law, at Praia de Botafogo, 190, 13th floor.
The Jakarta hub will be hosted at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ruang Serbaguna, Gd. Utama Kemkominfo, Jl, Medan Merdeka Barat no.9, Jakarta Pusat 10110.
The Tunis hub organised by Hivos IG MENA, will be hosted by the Tunisian Internet Agency at the 404 Lab 13 Jugurtha Street, Mutuelle ville, Tunis.

Registrations are now closed.

The monthly Internet governance briefings are organised by the Geneva Internet Platform (GIP), a Swiss initiative run by DiploFoundation. Learn more about our monthly briefings and local hubs.
