[Briefing #26] Internet governance in June 2016
[Update] The IG Barometer for June is now available.
[Update] Listen to the briefing recording. We also invite you to download and read Issue 12 of the Geneva Digital Watch newsletter, which rounds up the developments for June.
[Update] Registrations for the August briefing are now open. In what is seen as a particularly busy month for digital policy, several developments are likely to have a far-reaching impact. The FCC’s net neutrality rules are upheld in US courts; the UK Parliament votes in the Snoopers’ Charter, while a Russian bill aims to make encryption backdoors mandatory in messenger apps. The Special Rapporteur’s report highlights the role of the private sector, while the EU issues guidelines on the sharing economy. What other Internet governance updates took place in June, and how will they shape future developments? What can we expect in the coming weeks? Join us for our next monthly briefing, on Tuesday, 28th June, for a round-up of the major global IG and digital policy developments.
You receive hundreds of pieces of information on digital politics.
We receive them, too.
We decode, contextualise, and analyse them.
Then we summarise them for you.
Every last Tuesday of the month, the Internet governance briefings provide a 'zoomed-out' update of the major global IG and digital policy developments. They are delivered live from Geneva (WMO Building, 2nd floor, 7 bis Avenue de la Paix), and broadcasted online.
