Zimbabwe: Digital ID services to start by December
Zimbabwe’s Civil Registry Department has put in place measures to enhance performance of the department. These include use of online services in processing of documents such as passports and national identity card. A news report by Herald quotes government officials stating that they had contracted partners to supply technology for online services as well as print plastic identity cards. It is therefore expected that the current backlog in production of identification documents will be cleared by December.
