YouTube will no longer place ads related to alcohol, gambling, and politics on its masthead ad slot, which is located at the top of the website and app. This slot is first seen by users when they go to a YouTube webpage. The measure aims at improving users’ experience and avoiding controversies. During the 2020 election, Donald Trump bought the masthead slot for three days.
