World Bank: Digital technology key for Uganda’s post-COVID-19 health response
The World Bank (WB) has published the 15th edition of the Uganda Economic Update titled Digital Solutions in a Time of Crisis. In the report, the WB presented several recommendations to reform and invest to support a more digital economy. One recommendation is to leverage digital technologies to support the post-COVID-19 health and economic responses by, for instance, equipping and training community health workers in digital data collection to enable the generation of real-time data for disease monitoring. It also states that the deployment of existing digital inventory management solutions can be scaled up in the public health sector.
