World Bank allocates USD 200 million for digital economy in Ethiopia

In order to support digital transformation in Ethiopia, the World Bank has announced that it will allocate USD 200 million. The loan will be provided as part of the ‘Digital Ethiopia Foundations’ project that is particularly focused on the digital economy including the field of e-commerce and digital identification. The development of digital government services will also be addressed by the ‘Digital Ethiopia Foundations’ initiative which is part of the Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.
