Women in AI and UNSW partner to address gender inequality in tech field
Non-profit initiative Women in AI and the University of North South Wales (UNSW) partnered in order to address gender disparities in the field of technology. The project aims to address 4 out of 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs), namely, quality education (SDG 4), gender equality (SDG 5), reduce inequality (SDG 10), and partnership for goals (SDG 17) by providing female youths with tech skills on data visualisation, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI). Through a series of virtual master classes participants will have an opportunity to acquire digital literacy competences which they will be able to apply across a wide spectrum of industries related to digital transformation.
