Wojciech Wiewiórowski chosen as new European Data Protection Supervisor

Wojciech Wiewiórowski has been selected to take the role of European Data Protection Supervisor for a five-year term. He had been the deputy of the European Data Protection Supervisor since December 2014. According to IAPP, Wiewiórowski indicated to the European Parliament that his values were “the same as five years ago,” but adding he would follow a “young-blood and young-youth approach to the problems of data protection and privacy.”
